As a painter, I draw inspiration from nature, recreating textures, stains, and surfaces typically found on rock walls and cliff faces. With my newer work, I continue to explore the organicity of form using concrete and color - Mother Earth - interpreted as I become a co-creator with the elements.

Many of my ideas come from the concrete walls and embankments of buildings, expressways, sidewalks etc., as well as from objects and forms found in nature; thus, using cement as medium offers a three-dimensional approach that feels both natural and empowering. My intention is to offer a doorway to connection through detail; my intention is that you find peace and a sense of the ground beneath your feet - a sense of solidity and relationship - with this work.
